“Well, it looks like I’m back here again!” A small smile formed on her lips. “I could have handled it, you know?” Her playful words ripped through the gale wind that raced around them.
He smiled at her and whispered, “However, this time I won’t let you go again, little black minx. Why would I let you handle it? I warned these peons. Now hold still, I have some unfinished business to attend to.”
Aeolus held on tight to his beautiful bundle, ignoring her luscious body. He sent his powers toward the man who had dared to touch her. The wind spun in a tight vortex, contorting her attacker’s body as it pulled him out of her apartment, holding him in mid-air. It bent his body in unnatural ways, until it splintered and cracked like wood. Screams could be heard all around them, but he didn’t care.
Two other men ran away, but not soon enough. The storm caught them and threw them against the building, breaking both of their necks.
“Boreas, would you do me a favor? There is a convent called Black Moon at the edge of town. Would you be kind enough to destroy it for me, while I take care of some personal business? Maybe tomorrow you can meet me at the coffee shop down the street, about 11:00 in the morning, their time.”
Aeolus turned and headed in the direction of his temporary home, but not before he had seen his brother’s reaction to the woman in his arms. Yes, maybe she would be the one to share with him, not taking his eyes off the prize in his arms. He rubbed his fingers on the back of her neck, and flew up to the balcony. The doors opened on their own. Carrying her into his apartment, the doors shut behind him. They were alone.
“Now, my little black minx of the night. Maybe, we can get better acquainted. Don’t you think I deserve a small reward? After all, I saved you twice tonight,” he purred and gently lowered her feet to the ground. Her body slid down his as he still held her captive in his embrace.
“Why do you want me so bad, Aeolus? You are a god. You don’t need me. You could have anyone?” Luna looked into his gaze and frowned.
“My body and soul cry out for yours. I make no promises, Luna. All I know is that I need to have you.” Aeolus pulled her gown up and over her head. He stood back to admire her naked body.
“You are beautiful. The moon shines down on you as if a lover would caress you.” He reached over and lifted her breasts. Her breasts were large enough to fill his hands and her nipples just as big and hard, ready for him. Aeolus bent his head down and sucked one nipple into his mouth.
Her moan urged him forward. Candles lit around the room. He had read her mind and knew she was a virgin. For some reason he wanted this night to be special for her. I was as if she’d waited for him. Using his powers to enhance her pleasure, feeding it, Luna squirmed in his arms. Aeolus raised his head and her nipple popped out of his mouth.
He circled her, placing light touches on her black skin, watching her body hum, waiting for him. He stopped behind her to admire her round rump. He loved a good ass and tonight his cock would sample it, right along with her pussy.
The smell of her arousal reached him, only to increase his desire to have her. He gently led her to the dresser and placed her hands on it.
“Stay there, baby. Don’t move your hands. Just hold on, I need to taste that honey coming from you. Spread your legs for me.” He purred and knelt behind her. Aeolus could see every inch of her as he knelt and rubbed his cheek against her butt.
She was tense and nervous, but soon he and only he would claim Luna. He separated her pussy lips with his fingers and licked. He slid his tongue in and out of her pussy, quick short stabs until he sucked her small button into his mouth.
Luna jumped at first and he slapped her ass drawing a moan out of her. His moonflower like to be spanked, how interesting. Another couple of slaps landed on her ass as he played and ate.
“What…” She moaned. The slapping made her hot and her juices flowed freely from her onto his tongue.
“I see my moonflower likes to be punished. Oh, that is so good, because I want your ass to be on fire when I sink my shaft into it, but not until I thoroughly inspect my pussy.” A small growl formed and Aeolus knew he wouldn’t release Luna anytime soon. She would be his and only his. He slipped a finger into her pussy.
“This is mine, Luna,” he snarled and his voice vibrated her clit. Aeolus pulled back for a moment and spanked her butt, again and again.
Luna dropped her head down and whimpered. That wasn’t enough for him, she would obey him. He sat back on his heels and waited.
“No, don’t stop! I need…,” she cried.
“Whose body does this,” he palmed her mound. “Who does it belong to, my black minx?” he demanded.
“Yours, only you please!” she begged. He smiled and lowered his head once more between her legs. He slid his tongue back into her and continued his worship, making love to her. Aeolus reached her clit and with a pinch he wrenched a scream, from her shuddering body.
Chapter Three
Her eyes fluttered open. A high screech had her covering her ears. Luna didn’t know where she was and something heavy pressed down upon her body. Luna couldn’t believe she just had her first full-blown orgasm, and from a God. She tried to turn her head, but she couldn’t move. Something or someone held her still.
One moment she was in the throes of passion, and then she had passed out. “Aeolus, let me up. You’re squishing me. Couldn’t we make it to the bed? I mean you’re good and all, but I am going to be sore as hell now.” She laughed and squirmed a bit more. Pain shot through her leg.
“Shit! What the hell is wrong with my leg? It hurts like hell?” Luna mumbled.
“Hold still, Luna!” he commanded.
“There’s a piece of glass sticking out of your leg. I need to heal this.” Aeolus snapped, his eyes a dark red.
Luna looked down at her leg and saw the foreign object in her leg. She started to shake and she couldn’t breathe. The sight of blood always made her sick. Luna placed her hands onto Aeolus’ shoulders, his muscles were tight and a slight tremor moved over his body.
He slowly moved off her body and inspected her wound.
“Oh my god, Aeolus my home. All that’s left of my Mom was in there!” she screamed and watched timbers fall into the alleyway. “How could they have done this? I have protective spells all around the house.” Flames reached like fingers up toward the cloudy sky. Luna tried to move him, but he wouldn’t budge. She had to rescue her belongings before they were gone.
Aeolus held her down and pulled the long piece of glass out of her leg. All thoughts of moving died. She screamed and grabbed at her leg. Blood oozed out of her wound and onto the carpet beneath her.
Aeolus lowered his head and licked at the blood. He probed the cut with his fingers and tongue. “What are you doing? Stop it, that’s nasty.” She whimpered trying to drag him away from her leg, but nothing worked.
A burning sensation heated her wound. Luna tried to hold back the scream, but another whimper slipped out and tears followed.
“Hush, Luna. I am healing your leg. It will be okay, I know it hurts. You’re alive and that is what’s important. I have three brothers and we will hunt down whoever is responsible for this I promise. They’ll suffer the fire of hell. No one touches what is mine and lives. And Luna, you are mine. I won’t let you go.” He lifted her up and gently placed her onto the bed. With a wave of his hand, a robe covered her body.
Luna stared down at her injured leg. It was completely healed. She touched it, no blood oozed out, and none stained her hand. She lay on the bed, stunned, while Aeolus propped her leg on a pillow. “It’s still healing inside, so don’t move it.”
He turned and paced the room, ranting. “You will stay here, while we go out to hunt. This place is protected. No one will trespass and live. My youngest brother will stay with you. His name is Zephyrus.” Aeolus stopped and stared her.
“Aeolus, there is more. It isn’t just the coven that’s after my family. My mother suspected a god aided them. Mom was too close t
o the truth, and she died protecting me before we could find out.” Luna sighed and pulled her hair to the side of her head.
“They want me, Aeolus. You and your brothers could start a war among the gods. I can’t have that. I’m not a god, don’t you understand? I need to leave this place. I’ll survive, I always do. I’m just a human, a conquest for you.” Luna held his gaze until that last part and then looked down at her hands.
The bed dipped as Aeolus crawled on it careful of her leg. He covered her body with his. He spoke in a low lethal tone. “I have already contacted my father and uncles.”
Luna shook her head. “Are you freaking nuts?” She tried to shove him off of her, but he wouldn’t budge as he took her hands and held them above her.
“I can talk to them in my mind. We are what humans call gods and do have some powers. All of my brothers have some powers over the winds. Mine is over the North wind like that of my father. There are also other things we control, but I really don’t want to get into all that right now.”
Aeolus’ grin was evil. “We don’t know who is behind this, but we will find out.” With his chin, Aeolus worked open her robe, as his gaze drifted over her breasts. “This is not going to start a war. This is the work of a lesser god, and the High Council will want this person found and dealt with,” he mumbled and placed a kiss on her left breast.
“From now on, you go nowhere without me. I’ve come to realize I won’t let you go.” He licked her nipple and flicked the ruby. Goose bumps covered her arms.
“I will not see you harmed anymore. I didn’t understand the attraction at first, but my mother…” Aeolus glanced up at her and laughed.
“My mother informed me a while ago, but I forgot. She just reminded me what I am feeling is the mating bond.” Softly he stroked her breast with his one free hand, a smile on his sensual lips.
“I guess I should have paid more attention to my mother, because right now, I’m more animal than anything. I have been told when our mates are threatened… Well, we are more dangerous, especially since I haven’t sealed our bond. I want to consume you, eat you whole, but the monster in me wants the blood of who harmed you, and I will get that blood, I promise you.” Aeolus kissed his way up her body to her neck and bit her, holding her still. His hands roamed her body, making her forget everything except the heat he created inside her.
“Umm, excuse me. Are we interrupting here?” Boreas drawled. “We can come back later, but I do like seeing the oldest fall so hard and with such a tantalizing delight. Maybe we can share after our battle brother, just like the old days?” He sat on the bed, staring at Luna. His voice was teasing, but there was something in the way his brother stared at her that had him taking a closer look at him.
“Get off, you big oaf!” Luna groaned and tried to swat his backside, but he caught her hands. He pushed them back above her head while he smiled down at her.
“Later, little brother, after I have her. She’s mine. And if and when I decide to let you sample my woman, it’s up to her also.” Aeolus purred and jumped off her, but his gaze never left hers.
“Zephyrus, you have guard duty. You will watch my little witch here.” He caressed her cheek. “Be careful, she has amazing powers. She is liable to turn you into a toad or something if you piss her off,” Aeolus headed to the balcony door. He looked back at her and smiled.
“I should go with you and draw them out. Maybe we could get lucky and the big guy will come out and try for me?” Luna stated. She muttered a few words and waved her hand as clothes covered her body. She swung her legs off the bed and started to walk towards the balcony doors with only a slight limp. She stopped dead in her tracks, when she saw Aeolus’ expression change.
“You will not going anywhere. Do I have to bind you to the bed? I will if you don’t listen. I am holding on by a thread here, all I want to do is throw you down and claim you!” his voice rose, making her step back.
“Why you jackass. I have survived for the past seven years without your help. Keep it up, and you will all be toads, and I will hunt myself!” Luna stated. Closing her eyes, she started chanting. She needed out of this room and knew where to go. In a matter of seconds her body tingled and Luna knew she had disappeared from the room, but not before she heard Aeolus roar with anger.
Luna opened her eyes and sighed. She stood in front of a cave where the altar that the Black Moon Coven used on special occasions was hidden, and the only other place she knew where they hid. The taint of darkness swirled around the entrance. It was past the time of sacrifice so she knew she was safe from that, for now. Slowly and quietly, Luna made her way into the cavern.
Wind blew around her in the cave and she knew it wasn’t natural. There shouldn’t be a breeze in the cave, she thought. She wasn’t alone any more. Aeolus had found her and he was not happy. Luna kept her pace fast, but also quiet, hoping she had time before he showed. She knew that Aeolus would stop her.
Her mother had told her the stories long ago about the gods. She had warned her that they changed into animal form when threatened. What animal form would Aeolus take? Hell, would it even be an Earth animal?
Luna turned the corner into the next tunnel just as someone grabbed her around the waist and pushed her up against the wall. Aeolus’ body covered hers. He held her arms up over her head, his face inches in front of hers.
“You will pay dearly, my lovely mate. If we weren’t so close to the enemy, I would deal with you now. One day you will listen to what I say!” he snarled before he kissed her hard, his kiss possessive. As soon as the kiss began, it ended and she was pushed towards the entrance of the cavern.
“Take her out of here, Zephyrus. And don’t worry, her powers have been altered. She can’t turn you into anything. Just keep her safe.” Aeolus demanded and floated towards the unseen enemy, as wind ripped around the brothers as they went.
“This is my fight, you pig-headed fool! How dare you alter anything concerning me? Like I’m going to listen to you. It isn’t happening. Think again, almighty god!” Luna screamed at his retreating back.
Zephyrus picked her up and threw her over his shoulder in a fireman carry and walked toward the exit.
“I can’t believe you disobeyed him. I have never seen him this mad. If I didn’t think he’d turn on me, I would be laughing now,” Zephyrus said and exited the cavern. He headed toward the middle of Bourbon street where those outside laughed and shook their head.
“Put me down now!” Luna demanded. “I won’t have you carry me like this through town, you moron. If I can’t help find the bastards, I might as well deal with the authorities about my home,” Luna grunted.
Zephyrus stopped and lowered her to the ground. “We are to meet Aeolus at his temporary living quarters. He will not be happy if you’re not there.” Zephyrus smiled down at her.
Luna just shook her head. “Well, I have things to take care of, and I need to see if anything is left at my home. Let him wait. I am hoping the safe box I kept my Mom’s things in are safe. I need to do this, Zephyrus, but you can come with me if you want.” Luna walked in the direction of her home. She turned the corner and saw the police there with firefighters.
She slowed down, taking in the damage to her home. It was as if she was staring at ground zero of a bomb blast.
“Luna, thank God you’re okay. We were so worried you were inside, but we didn’t find anything. Are you hurt, honey?” The sheriff hugged her. She knew him well. His wife always came in to her shop and bought things, asking for help to protect her husband on the job.
“I am healthy and unhurt, Is everything gone, Hank? Can I look for my safe box?” Luna asked and turned toward the ashes. She had heard the growl in her mind and so had Zephyrus. He stepped beside her and pulled her under his arm.
“I am being rude here, Hank. This is Zephyrus, a friend. He’s here to help.” Luna looked around. She waited for Aeolus to pop out somewhere and claim her, but nothing happened.
“Luna, I don’t think it’s safe enou
gh to go in there. It’s still hot and it will be for a while.” Hank nodded toward Zephyrus.
“Luna, Aeolus will look for you later. We really must get back to the apartment. He will be waiting for you there. I am sorry, Hank, but my brother is her fiancé. And he has been really worried about her with all the past attacks.” Zephyrus stated and pushed her towards the apartment.
“I didn’t know she was engaged. Luna you never mentioned it. Shelly will be so excited, She was so worried about you being alone, and so was I.” The sheriff once more pulled her into his arms for a quick hug, but she quickly pulled back, as the snarl filled her head.
“Thanks, Hank. I’m afraid his brother has not asked me to marry him. He just assumed I would say yes. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’m tired. I haven’t slept all night and tomorrow, I want to search this rubble and see if I can find the safe box.” Luna pretended to yawn and leaned on Zephyrus. She might not be tired physically, but emotionally Luna was ready to give up.
“Let’s go.” Zephyrus wrapped his arm around her and led her away from her former home.
They walked towards the door where Aeolus stood waiting. He held out his arms, but Luna stared at him wearily. He reached out gently, taking her into his embrace.
She curled up close to his body. His scent was that of a new day early in the morning. Luna needed the strength he offered. She was so tired of fighting alone. As for the mate business, they would talk about that later.
“I am tired, Aeolus. I want to sleep for a week and forget everything for a while.” A single tear rolled down her cheek.
He scooped her up into his arms and carried her into the bedroom where he gently placed her on top of his bed.
She noticed all the brothers there. They appeared to be waiting for something. Luna gazed around the room. Each one of them avoided her eyes, looking away.
